8 Simple Steps for Achieving Anything

Yes, your goals are within reach. In fact, achieving them is a simple process. It just requires commitment and action on your behalf.

Set your sights on a clear goal – What is it specifically that you want to achieve? Write it down if you have to.

Focus on one thing at a time and pick the next logical task – Ask yourself, “What can I do right now that will bring me one step closer to my desired goal?”

Educate yourself – What knowledge and skills are required to complete the task you chose in step #2? Keep it simple. Everything else can be learned along the way.

Start now – Why haven’t you started? START!!!

Say “NO” to distractions – Is the phone ringing? Door knocking? Dog barking? Unless the house is burning to the ground, IGNORE IT ALL!!!

Review and adjust – Are you making progress? If yes, see the next step. If not, why not? Are there any small adjustments you need to make?

Press on until the task is complete – Revisit steps #5 and #6 as required.
Repeat – Once the task you chose in step #2 is complete, it’s time to repeat all the steps for the next logical task.

Revisit your goal in step #1 so it’s fresh in your mind, choose the next logical task, educate yourself as necessary, etc.

You will never be able to understand until you choose to believe that Jesus is the same today as He was when he was healing the sick, calming the sea and speaking words of knowledge to women at a well. THE THREE GIFTS THAT NURTURE HEALTHY SELF-ESTEEM

“Who am I?” This is a question many of us ask in our culture. We ask this question because there are features about ourselves we dislike or even hate. Most of us know what it is like to perceive ourselves as a “loser” in one area of our lives or another. We know what it feels like to believe we will never quite measure up and therefore live in fear least the truth of our felt inadequacy be discovered. These anxieties continually erode our self-worth and keep us from fulfilling our true potential.

Do you remember that old Biblical story about the Children of Israel after they had been delivered out of Egypt? As they approached the “Promised Land” Moses sent out spies to explore the land. When the spies returned some of them described what they saw as a land flowing with milk and honey and encouraged the people to take possession. Others had a different story. They reported a land filled with grants and said they felt like grasshoppers in comparison powerless of continue. Well , the problem for many of us is that when we send out our “self-evaluation spies” to search the depths of our being they return only to report, “we are like grasshoppers in a land of giants” and instead of taking procession of the land we find ourselves tied up in knots wondering in the wilderness of our fears and self-judgment. This is the problem of low self-esteem and self-hatred. Although we feel like we are alone in our misery, the truth is, to one extent or another, we all struggle with this problem.

Is there hope? Yes! You see, the issue in our lives is not whether we have emotional challenges. We all do. The issues is whether our emotional challenges control us. However, like most cutting edges in our lives the problem of low self-regard can best be resolved in community with others who care of us. It is very difficult to win the battle on our own. We need one another! This is particularly true in regards to our children. As parents we may be able to save our child unnecessary emotional pain if we will work at giving them three gifts. These are gifts we all need. As a spiritual person, I believe God gives these gifts to us. Therefore, we would be wise to learn to give them to ourselves and to one another. The first gift I want to call “affirmation for being.” This affirmation is given unconditionally regardless of behavior. “Affirmation for being” is the foundation for healthy self-regard without which we our fragile and easily crushed . Without this first gift we learn only what might be described as “performance bases acceptance.” “Performance bases acceptance” suggest that we are not worthy of acceptance unless we are pleasing others and their expectations in our lives. “Performance based acceptance” is at the root of many problems in our lives and culture, to which we generally either passively comply or rebel. “Affirmation for being” is given whenever we let others know that regardless of the details of their lives who they are, their feelings and thoughts, they’re very being is accepted , affirmed and prized.

The second gift is “affirmation for doing well.” It is helpful and nurturing to all of us

to know if our efforts to excel in our interests and responsibilities in life are enriching to others. If we have been able to internalize the gift of “affirmation for being”, especially as a child, it may not be critical to receive this second gift. Nevertheless, it will always feel good and be tremendously encouraging. Remember, however, without “affirmation for being”, “affirmation for doing will” will probably be experienced as “performance based acceptance.” Thus, the first gift is a prerequisite if the second is to be most effective.

The third gifts comes in the form of correction and discipline that accomplishes three goals. First, corrections must never diminish what a person has done right. Second, corrections should detail what needs to be changed and how those changes can be accomplished. Third, corrections should always be done expressing the belief that you know they can get it right. Thus, a correction done constructively can actually be experienced as another form of affirmation. Otherwise, correction and disciple easily becomes damaging to the human personality.

I realize that I have only given a brief outline on how to deal with the problem of low self-esteem and that many questions remain unanswered. However, if I have stimulated your thinking in regards to your worth as a person I have accomplish my purpose.  By Dr. Frank Green

Becoming Champion Begins In Mind

The beginning of every champion begins in mind!

And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine (1 Samuel 17:32).

A great future that doesn’t begin today will remain a mirage, or an illusion. It can only begin in mind. David championed the cause of a whole kingdom through his thoughts; positive thoughts; thought of champion and thought of over-comers. The reality is that you too can begin to effect a national change of your world by changing your way of thinking, the way you value yourself and becoming passionate about your ideas.

The good products like cars, airplane, ship, computer and positive changes we’re enjoying in the telecommunication, banking industries and other sectors of our society and our world today were motivated by a few people that possessed the mind and championed the cause for change in these areas.

You too can be the catalyst for a change in your sector, in your society or in your ministry. You don’t have to be a government official to inspire a change. You don’t need to be an uncle to the President or the head of state before your can become a changer of your world. So also you don’t need to be among that lives or sleep in the palace before you can be a king of your world. Joseph started his presidency right from his family home. David also began his champion from the bush with animals. Don’t forget Prophet Elijah never visited a palace but palace always visited him and he ruled the palace from his home. It only takes a spark to light up a forest. Major social and economic changes in many nations of the world began from an inspired mind.

The revolution and reality of this book begins with my mind; what I can see! Can you see a greener and cleaner of your world? Do you see yourself changing your world? Then stop throwing your trash just anywhere, and teach others to do the same. Can you see yourself influence your nation to greater level full of kind courteous communication and shining glory?

Then learn to speak kindly to others regardless of the provocation, frustration, and learn to be courteous. Can you see a new nation with honest and upright leaders? Can you say it boldly that you are here to change your world for positive changes? Then don’t waste your ideas again and do not sell your votes, vote with a conscience for today and the future. You can change your world, you can re-create your nation by changing your way of thinking, changing the negative way you see things around you but see the real way of changing it.

IN SEARCH FOR A PURPOSE 5

HOW TO FULFILL YOUR GOD-GIVEN PURPOSE
There are 3 major keys you need to fulfill your purpose. They are:

1. Dependence on God
This is the state of needing the help and support of God in order to survive or be successful. It refers to trusting the Lord with all your heart and leaning not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)

God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. (Matthew 5:3; NLT)

Stop leading yourself; let God lead you. Stop being the alpha and omega of your decisions; let God guide you. If you want to fulfill your God-given purpose, you must take the back seat and let God drive you. (Mark 1:12)

O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself it is not in man that walked to direct his steps. (Jeremiah 10:23; KJV)

2. Obedience God.
To obey is to do ‘hat you are told or expected to do. It is simple, common sense to know that you cannot disobey God and expect His plans for your life to be fulfilled. You have to cooperate with Him. Obey His Word. Obey whatever He tells you.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matt 4:4; KJV)
Obedience always attracts blessings but disobedience brings curses. (Deuteronomy 11:26-28

3. Patience for God
It is not enough to depend on God and obey Him; without patience you will truncate Gods will for your life. Many have married the wrong people, landed in trouble and even lost their lives because of impatience. They just couldn’t wait any longer and, they paid dearly for it.

For ye have need of patience, that, after e have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. (Hebrews 10:36; KJV)

Abraham, the father of faith, nearly failed in God’s purpose for his life because he became impatient. Although God’s will eventually came to pass, the product of his impatience is still a thorn in the flesh of his miracle- child even after thousands of years. God may not do it when you expect Him to but please though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:3b.

IN SEARCH OF PURPOSE 4

How are you? Hope you are fine. The other time we considered the manual and its importance in the discovery of purpose. I believe you were blessed. Let’s continue our journey today by considering this portion of the Scriptures. I know my plans towards you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11; NIV)

STEPS TO DISCOVERING GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR LI

1. Realize you were created for a purpose. ‘Thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation 4:llb; KJV) .

2. Recognize also that God has incredible plans for you. as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for theth that love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9; KJV) 3. Pray and keep praying for God to reveal the purpose and plans He has for you. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that ask received; and he that seek find; and to him that knock it shall be opened: (Matthew 7:7-8; KJV) 4. Be obsessed and extremely passionate about His purpose and plans. “You will find me if you seek me with all your heart (when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else),” 5. Get busy loving God, knowing Him and serving Him. But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [ that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [ hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him arid, gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]. (1 Corinthians 2:9; Amplified) I hope you’ve been blessed and inspired. By the grace of God, we will consider vital keys that are necessary for the fulfillment of purpose next week. I pray that the Lord will perfect that which concerns you’in Jesus name. Till then, remain blessed..

IN SEARCH FOR A PURPOSE 3

Discovering purpose is not as difficult as most people think. In fact, it is very simple. If give you a gadget whose functions and purpose you don’t know as a gift, what would you do? Are you going to throw it away or simply abandon it? I don’t think so. The wisest and simplest thing for you to do is to refer to the manual. The gadget’s manual would clearly explain its purpose and functions. You may know practically nothing about the gadget initially but by the time you are through with the manual, you would have clearly understood its purpose and how to use it.

Just like every gadget has a manual, every one of us a manual. This manual was written by our manufacturer (God) so that we might find purpose and understand how to live our lives. This manual is not in Heaven or somewhere far away. It is always available and accessible. I’m referring to the Bible. Yes! The Bible is more than a religious book. It is God’s manual for your life.

Most of us barely read the manuals that accompany our gadgets because we usually consider it unnecessary to do so and we learn to use our gadgets by trial and error. The only time we refer to a gadget’s manual is when we find it difficult to understand a particular function. This does not only amount to us shortchanging ourselves, it sometimes lead to the destruction of these gadgets. People spend money and time trying to fix things that could have been avoided if the gadgets’ manuals have been read in the first place.

Most of us barely read the Bible too. We usually don’t see a need for it or like we sometimes say “we are too busy”. Consequently, we live our lives by trial and error. We run our lives the way we like and we say “it’s my life”. No! It’s not your life. It’s a trust you will account for at the end of the day. It’s a soft loan. Just like a trustee does not use a property in his care the way he likes, you are not permitted to use your life the way you like. You must use it the way the owner (God) wants.

The reason many people spend money, time, tears and pains trying to fix their health, businesses, marriages and homes is that they ignore God’s manual. Many sicknesses, marital problems, business failures and sudden death would have been avoided if adequate attention had been paid to God’s manual – the Bible.

The Bible is more than you think it is. It is more than a book of religious creeds. It is a book that contains the answers to all questions and the solutions to all problems. The Bible contains everything you need to have a blissful time both here on earth and in heaven. Through it, I’ve learn to live above sicknesses and diseases. Challenges come but they don’t overcome! The Bible is beyond description. I never knew until I began devoting attention to it. Oh! How I wish everybody knows this truth. It would make the world a much better place. We will continue our search for purpose next week but till then keep reading the manual.
